An Eye For Shape.
Part II of my visit to Vanda Fine Clothing in Singapore. (Part I here)
I feel lucky and privileged to have been able to pay a visit to Gerald Shen and Diana Chan at Vanda Fine Clothing. There was a little issue with the lining of the very first tie I got from Vanda (the double overcheck in the picture). Gerald opened it up and replaced the lining for me. The result - what feels like a brand new tie.
I urge any of you who are in Singapore to pay Vanda Fine Clothing a visit - check out the ties, pocket handkerchiefs and lapel flowers, look at the swatch books but mostly, enjoy the wonderful experience of meeting two people who love what they do and produce such beautiful work.
Thank you for sharing these pictures, Gezza!
Mr Eyes on tour, part 2.
Who are you?
Christian Kimber: British designer, living in Melbourne, Australia.
What is your background in the clothing industry and how did you come up with the idea to start Kimber Footwear?
In London I was working across a few different roles in the menswear world, from retail…
Just had a nice Monday morning coffee with Melbourne’s finest sartorialists (and shoe shiners) - Mr Kimber, designer, and Mr Eyes, of GezzasEyes.tumblr.com, photographer/shoe collection curator.
1960s Vietnamese!? No, it’s bullshit! Just want to relive the era.
Reminding myself that, in the summer, simplicity can still be rakish.
Street style for summer.
John Lobb Tudor boots back from a full factory service.
Had the pleasure of meeting P. Johnson Tailors in the streets of Rome today.
